CMF by Nothing recently launched the CMF 1 smartphone (we have an unboxing video which you can watch here) alongside the CMF Buds Pro 2.

This time, the company invites designers, makers, and/or modders to design their own accessories for the CMF 1.

CMF by Nothing – What will you create?

The CMF by Nothing Phone 1 is marketed as a creative platform for designers, makers, 3D printers, modders, and more.

Through this initiative, the company is encouraging these types of creatives to make accessories like an ergonomic camera grip, a card wallet, an embossed rear cover, or a lens attachment.

In support of this movement, CMF released documents showcasing and outlining the physical dimension of the smartphone which is everything the community needs to get started.

Whether you’re an experienced maker or a humble hobbyist, there are plenty of exciting opportunities with CMF Phone 1 and the company may even explore producing some of the community’s ideas.

The Phone 1 features replaceable rear cases which are held in place using the common M2 screw type. The Accessory Point on the bottom right corner lets you attach things using the included Accessory Point Cover or any other M2.5 screw:

The company also provided an .stl and an. stp files for 3D designers/printers which you can download here.

Just a reminder though, Nothing and CMF released a disclaimer that they will not be responsible for any compatibility problems that may arise so be careful when modding your device.
