Now, Dolphin, a GameCube emulator, is planning on delivering a nice modern-day tweak to their emulation experience with the addition of support for gaming achievements on Android.

Dolphin gives more reasons for Android fans to play more

Dolphin is collaborating with RetroAchievements to create achievement sets for old games, enabling emulators to verify completion and track progress in around 100 games. This partnership marks its first support for GameCube titles.

Additionally, with this new support for achievements, you can finally access a list of achievements, either for specific goals or casual play, and also a “hardcore” mode that restricts achievements using emulator cheats like save states and/or slow-mo on your emulator.

Dolphin’s achievements on PC are already coming, but Android support will still have to wait due to long-standing issues with UI conflicts and network code.

Other console emulators may follow but right now RetroAchievements is set to polish the support for the GameCube emulator on Android before going for anything else.
