Qualcomm has just introduced the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, its latest 5G chipset for more affordable devices and slots just under the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 announced last year. The newer chipset though offers support for gigabit connectivity and robust CPU performance.

The Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is built on the Samsung 4nm 4LPX process for enhanced power efficiency. It comes with two performance Kryo Prime (Arm Cortex-A78-based) cores running at up to 2GHz and six efficiency (Arm Cortex-A55-based) cores with speeds of up to 1.8GHz.

Its main feature is its gigabit connectivity thanks to its Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF System that supports 1Gbps download speeds for entry-level 5G smartphones. It also has Dual Frequency NAVIC and Wi-Fi 5 support.

The new chipset has an Adreno GPU that supports up to FHD+ displays at 90Hz. Moreover, it supports up to LPDDR4x RAM at up to 2133MHz and UFS 3.1 storage.

The Qualcomm Spectra Image Signal Sensor allows devices to have up to 16MP+16MP dual cameras at 30fps Zero Shutter Lag or up to 32MP single cameras with 30fps Zero Shutter Lag. It can also offer 1080p single video capture at 60fps, 1080p dual video capture at 30fps, or slow-motion video capture at 720p at 120ps.
