The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the most premium entry in the new Pixel 9 series which includes the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and 9 Pro XL. This new foldable device by Google features a refined design far from its predecessor and is shipping on September 5.

Google has revamped its Pixel 9 Pro Fold design, resulting in a much sleeker design overall. The foldable device measures 10.5mm folded and 5.1mm unfolded, and weighs 257 grams, making it more comfortable to hold. 

One of its major highlights is Its hinge that now unfolds flat, unlike the first-gen Pixel Fold, and it is also IPX8 water-resistant.

Moreover, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold features a larger 6.3-inch cover screen and a square-like 8-inch folding screen with FHD+ resolution, adaptive 120Hz refresh rates, and up to 2,700 nits peak brightness. Both panels share 10MP selfie cameras. The back has a 48MP main shooter, a 10.5MP telephoto lens, and an updated 12MP ultrawide module.

The foldable packs a Google Tensor G4 chipset under the hood which is paired with 16GB RAM and 256/512GB storage. It also comes with Android 14 and new Google AI features like Gemini Nano, Pixel Screenshots, improved Magic Editor, and Add Me functionality for insertion of people in photos.

Additionally, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will come with 7 years of software updates. It has a 4,650 mAh battery, rated for 24 hours of normal use, with 21W wired charging.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is shipping on September 5 and comes in a Porcelain and Obsidian colorway.

The device is priced at USD 1,799 (around PHP 102,000) for the 256GB model and USD 1,919 (around PHP 109,000) for the 512GB version.
