OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G, Now Available
This week has been a wild week especially for us because we got to see new phones from various brands – some we can talk about and some we can already give you our initial impressions already.
In this article, we’ll talk about our first impressions of the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite, OnePlus’ latest midrange smartphone that we think is excellently priced by OnePlus!
Incredibly good price… finally!
One of the first things that caught our attention was the price of the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite. With a price tag of PHP 17,999, it’s remarkably close to its global SRP. This is a refreshing change from what we’ve seen with the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R, which were launched in the Philippines at a significantly higher price point. Kudos to OnePlus for pricing this device competitively!
When we unboxed the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite, we were surprised to find that it didn’t come with a charger, cable, or case. However, we later found out that OnePlus is including these accessories in the package for all purchases, both online and offline. We also double confirmed this from OnePlus Philippines. It’s great to see that they’re providing a complete package for their customers.
Display
The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright and vibrant, making it perfect for watching videos or playing games. The 20:9 aspect ratio and 395 ppi density ensure that the display is crisp and clear.
Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This combination provides a smooth and seamless performance, making it ideal for everyday use.
Hardware
The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite has a solid and bold design that gives off a sense of elegance and power. The phone’s frame is made of a durable material that provides a comfortable (but a little glossy) grip and feels sturdy in the hand.
The device has a height of 16.29cm, width of 7.56cm, and thickness of 0.81cm, weighing in at 191g. The phone is available in two color options: Super Silver and Mega Blue, which is what we have right here. Regardless of what you get, the phone is a huge smudge magnet.
Hardware and Performance
In our experience, the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite has performed admirably. We’ve been able to play demanding games like Zenless Zone Zero and Diablo Immortal without zero to minor issues. We also ran various benchmark tests on this device and here’s how it stacks compared to the competition.
The performance benchmark scores are acceptable, indicating that this device can handle most tasks with ease.
Camera
The camera on the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is one of its standout features. With a 50MP primary sensor and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), it’s capable of taking stunning photos.
The OIS feature is particularly useful for mobile photographers with shaky hands, as it helps to compensate for camera shake and blur.
Audio and Connectivity
The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a welcome addition for audiophiles. Additionally, it supports Bluetooth with a wide array of audio codecs, making it easy to pair with your favorite headphones or speakers.
Another interesting feature of this phone is its ability to charge other devices up to 5W.
Software Experience
Now, some of you are probably wondering about the software experience. It has been generally mid, but we wouldn’t say that it is a far cry from our expectations from the “old” OxygenOS. Sure, it wildly resembles ColorOS – which we do not actually hate; but we would have appreciated it more had they considered making OxygenOS different from it.
First Impressions
Overall, our first impressions of the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite are positive. It’s a well-priced device that offers a great balance of performance, camera quality, and features. While it may not be a flagship device, it’s definitely a solid mid-ranger that’s worth considering. And again – it is really good for OnePlus for finally starting to listen to their consumers especially in terms of the pricing of this device. We just hope that they would be consistent about it!
The OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is now available in OnePlus and OPPO kiosks and designated multi-brand stores. It is also available online on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok shop, with a special PHP 1000 off voucher redeemable till August 15. Customers can enjoy freebies worth PHP 2,500, including Bluetooth earbuds, a power adaptor, and a phone case.
For those who prefer to purchase via credit card via offline purchase, the device will be available on 6/12 months installment at 0% interest till August 31. Home Credit customers can also avail of up to 18 months installment at 0% interest.
