A Quick Look at the OPPO Reno12 F
The introduction of the Reno12 series by OPPO opened the doors to their loyal fans to various features like OPPO AI Photos, Eraser 2.0, impressive cameras, and a lot more. While the new series leaves an impression that “it’s good, but pricey”, the Reno12 series is still worthy of praise.
Just yesterday, after weeks of teasing, OPPO finally announced the latest variant in the Reno12 Series, the OPPO Reno12 F. OPPO touts it as a more affordable option to experience the wealth of the series’ features. While I cannot reveal everything yet about the OPPO Reno12 F, there are a couple of things I can share especially in the design and build departments.
A Design That Turns Heads
Looking at the Reno12 F 5G: it’s clear that OPPO has put a lot of thought into its design. The phone introduces the new Cosmos Ring Design, which is a refreshing departure from the typical camera layouts we’ve seen in recent years. Inspired by classic wristwatches, this design element adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to the device. The layered look around the camera module creates a three-dimensional effect that’s both visually striking and premium in feel.
What’s particularly impressive is how OPPO has managed to pack all this style into such a slim and lightweight package. At just 7.69 mm thick and weighing only 187g, the Reno12 F 5G stays true to the Reno series’ reputation for combining fashion with comfort. C’mon – take a look at it! It’s a phone that not only looks good but also feels great in hand.
The Reno12 F 5G comes in two stunning colors: Amber Orange and Olive Green. The Amber Orange variant, inspired by the 2024 Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz, features a unique texture reminiscent of flickering flames, giving it an extraordinary energy and brilliance. The Olive Green option, on the other hand, boasts a curved light column texture that creates a dynamic and fluid sensation within its dark green hue.

While the Reno12 F 5G impresses with its looks, OPPO hasn’t forgotten about durability. The phone features a High-Strength Alloy Framework, which is part of what OPPO calls its All-Round Armour structure. This design choice not only enhances the phone’s premium feel but also provides exceptional protection against everyday wear and tear.
The device boasts an IP64 rating for water and dust resistance, and it has received 5 stars in the SGS Performance Multi-Scene Protection Testing. This means you can use your phone with greater peace of mind, knowing it’s built to withstand the rigors of daily use.
Inside, OPPO has implemented a Sponge Bionic Cushioning design to protect key components from shocks. This attention to detail in both external and internal protection demonstrates OPPO’s commitment to creating a device that’s not just powerful and beautiful, but also long-lasting.

I believe that OPPO Reno12 F 5G appears to be a compelling package that brings together style, AI capabilities, durability, and performance at a midrange price point. There are, of course, a few more features that I have not yet discussed. I still have yet to talk about its performance, AI features, camera, and a lot more. While I cannot yet give my full recommendation, it is definitely worth checking out their official launch very soon.
