Apple during its “It’s Glowtime” Event announced its latest devices like the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max as well as the latest Apple Watch and AirPods 4.
The AirPods 4 now comes in a base variant and one with Active Noise Cancellation. Both variants feature a new design and a variety of updates.
AirPods 4
The AirPods 4 has a new design that is said to be built with a data set that uses advanced modeling tools to map and analyze thousands of ear shapes. This is said to offer a new acoustic architecture in addition to its low-distortion driver and high dynamic range amplifier.
In addition, the latest AirPods have an H2 chip onboard which unlocks intelligent audio experiences such as Voice Isolation and Siri Interaction. The latter, specifically now allows you to nod your head yes or gently shake your head no to respond to Siri announcements.
The chip also delivers low wireless audio latency ideal for gaming sessions.
The charging case now charges via a USB-C port and is 10% smaller in volume than its predecessor. It is said to deliver up to 30 hours of battery life. Meanwhile, the AirPods 4 with ANC also comes with wireless charging like an Apple Watch charger or a Qi-certified charger on its charging case.
Speaking of ANC, the ANC variant helps reduce environmental noise and also offers Transparency mode, Adaptive, and Conversation Awareness. It does so thanks to upgraded microphones, the H2 chip, and advanced computational audio.
In addition to the new AirPods, Apple announced four new colors for the AirPods Max namely Orange, Purple, Blue, and Midnight. The AirPods Max now also features USB-C charging capabilities.
The company also announced a new Hearing Health experience for the AirPods Pro 2 including being able to transform it to a clinical-grade hearing aid. This feature though is announced to be coming in fall in more than 100 countries and regions like the United States, Germany, and Japan.

The AirPods 4 comes in two variants and are priced in the Philippines at:
- AirPods 4 – PHP 8,490
- AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation – PHP 11,490
