Apple introduced its latest iPhone 16 series headlined by the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max during its “Its Glowtime” Event. The phones were joined by the new AirPods 4 and Apple Watch Series 10.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max also feature the new Camera Control button and support Apple Intelligence features thanks to the all-new A18 Pro chipset.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have a 6.3-inch and 6.9 Super Retina XDR displays with Always-On and ProMotion technologies and protected by the latest Ceramic Shield technology. The 16 Pro Max, currently, has the largest iPhone display ever.  

The duo are powered by the A18 Pro chipset built on the latest 3nm process. It features a 6-core CPU, a 6-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine that offers 35 TOPS. Additionally, it has an advanced media chip and a new video encoder onboard.

The 6-core CPU is comprised of 2 performance core and 4 efficiency cores. It is said to offer 20% more effiency and 15% faster than the A17 Pro.

The 6-core GPU offers 20% faster performance and 2x faster ray tracing than its predecessor. The GPU also delivers stunning visuals for next-level games for games like Death Stranding and Honor of Kings: World.

The 16-core Neural Engine enables remarkable on-device performance and delivers a 17% increase in total memory bandwidth. Moreover, it powers remarkable performance for Apple Intelligence.

Among the Apple Intelligence features include Writing Tools, Image Playground, and more.

Both Pro models feature a 48MP Fusion camera, a 48MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP 5x telephoto snapper with a tetra-prism design. The camera setup is further helped by the new Camera Control button that can be used to boot up the Camera app, scroll through the settings, and take photos.

They also introduce next-generation Photographic Styles that are now customizable with an easy-to-use control pad by locally adjusting color, highlights, and shadows in real time. They also have a deeper understanding of skin undertones so you can personalize how you appear in photos.

The duo now also take spatial photos and videos to help you relive memories with depth on the Apple Vision Pro.

Speaking of video, the latest Pro devices now capture 4K120 fps slo-mo or Video mode with the capability of adjusting the playback speed after capture in the Photos app.

In addition to the video capabilities, Apple also highlighted the audio prowess of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, which feature four studio-quality mics to capture Spatial Audio. The Pro devices also introduce new ways to edit video with Audio Mix that allow you to adjust the sound of your videos in three options – In-Frame Mix, Studio Mix, and Cinematic Mix.

The company also showcased the new Layering feature coming to Voice Memos which can be used to record your song ideas or more.

The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max comes in four color options namely Black Titanium, White Titanium, Natural Titanium, and Desert Titanium.
