iPhone 16 Touchscreen Issues
iPhone users are reporting a frustrating issue with the palm rejection algorithm, particularly around the edges of the screen. The problem seems to be most prevalent near the Camera Control button, where the device often ignores touches for a brief period after other parts of the screen have been contacted.
Thinner bezels on new iPhone models may contribute to an aggressive palm rejection algorithm, but the issue doesn’t occur when the screen is locked, suggesting a software-related issue.
Apple has not yet issued an official statement regarding the glitch. However, given the nature of the issue, it is likely that a software update will be released soon to address it. In the meantime, users may find that using a case can help mitigate the problem by reducing accidental touches to the edges of the screen.
