ASUS has yet to officially introduce the ROG Phone 9 but ahead of anything official, the device was spotted receiving its certifications on the China Quality Certification (CQC) website.
ROG Phone 9
The listing was spotted by Smart Pikachu who shared the listing on Weibo. The device is listed under the model ASUSAI2501A and revealed some of its specs.
Among these include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which at this point isn’t too surprising as its predecessors always had the latest flagship chipsets. The ROG Phone 8 series, for example, was powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
The listing also reveals that the ROG Phone 9 supports the same 65W charging speeds as its predecessor. Moreover, it is revealed that the upcoming ROG Phone will feature an upgraded panel but it wasn’t specified how exactly.
What’s surprising though is that the ROG Phone 9 is getting certified earlier than its predecessor. This could mean an earlier launch for the ROG Phone series, maybe before the end of 2024.
