SteelSeries has taken the wraps off a new audio offering dubbed the SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds, a gaming-oriented TWS earbuds. It offers active noise cancellation that can connect to PCs, smartphones, and consoles.

The earbuds themselves are equipped with Neodymium Magnetic Drivers and offer Active Noise Cancellation via a four-microphone system to block out sounds. In addition to the ANC mode, the earbuds have a transparency mode if you still want to hear what’s going on around you while gaming.

It connects to consoles like the Xbox, PlayStation, or even your smartphone via a USB-C dongle that offers a 2.4GHz wireless connection. Meanwhile, for PCs and smartphone users who don’t want to use the dongle, it supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

You can control the EQ of the SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds via the mobile companion app. The app itself has 100 audio presets for a variety of games like Call of Duty, Destiny 2, EA Sports FC 24, Valorant, and Fortnite.

The app also allows you to toggle ANC and transparency modes and adjust how much noise is cancelled or heard in the respective modes.

According to the company, the charging case delivers up to 40 hours of battery life, while the earbuds are said to offer up to 10 hours of battery life.

The charging case supports wireless Qi charging or also charges via a USB-C port.

The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds is listed via the official website for USD 169.99 (around PHP 9,500).

It comes in two variants – Xbox (Black) and PlayStation (Black or White). The former will work with all platforms and has an additional chip for security and a slider button to switch to Xbox compatibility. Meanwhile, the latter will only work on Sony’s consoles, PC, and mobile.
