Ahead of any official mention from Google, alleged specs of the Google Pixel 9a have surfaced among these include its display and chipset.
Google Pixel 9a
Reports claim that the Pixel 9a, the budget-friendly Pixel device, will come with a 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel and be powered by the Google Tensor G4 chipset. However, the Tensor G4 chip on the more affordable device is said to be equipped with an Exynos Modem 5300 rather than the Exynos Modem 5400 used by the Pixel 9 series.
The leaks also mention seven years of software support which includes security updates and Android upgrades. This makes sense given that this was the same software support on the Pixel 8a.
The Pixel 9a though is reported to have the same 48MP 1/2-inch Sony IMX787 sensor that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The 9a is also said to have the same 13MP Sony IMX712 lens for its ultrawide and front sensors.
It is also believed to have an IP67 dust and water resistance rating and is equipped with a 5000mAh battery. The latter, if true, will be the biggest battery in a Pixel A series device.
To add to these specs, there were press renders that were shared by OnLeaks and AndroidHeadline that show a camera module that’s flush to the rear panel.
That said, it is pretty early still to corroborate this as the Google Pixel 9a is believed to launch in mid-March 2025.
