Grab and Maya have announced a strategic collaboration to provide eligible Grab users with access to digital loans of up to PHP 30,000. This initiative, named “Maya Easy Credit on Grab,” is designed to assist users in their holiday preparations by offering a streamlined, paperless loan application process.

Pre-selected users eligible to apply for Maya Easy Credit should be able to do so by checking if they have the card below in their Grab App homepage.
They may also receive in-app notifications and messages for an offer to Apply for a Maya Easy Credit Loan.
The program leverages data analyics to assess creditworthiness, enabling a more efficient evaluation process compared to traditional lending methods. Eligible Grab users can apply for the loan through a simple three-step procedure:
Step 1: Application: Users can initiate the process by responding to a notification or interacting with a homepage icon within the Grab application.
Step 2: Verification: Applicants must verify their identity using their Grab-registered phone number and provide consent for information sharing between Grab and Maya.
Step 3: Review: Upon completion of the initial steps, users will receive instructions from Maya Bank to review their loan offer and, if satisfactory, proceed with opening a Maya Credit account.
Funds obtained through Maya Easy Credit can be utilized for various purposes within the Maya ecosystem, including QR PH transactions, purchases from the Maya Store, and online payments with select merchants. Additionally, users have the option to transfer the loan amount to their Maya wallet, which can be linked to their Grab account for transactions within the Grab platform.
This partnership aims to address the increased financial needs of consumers especially during the holiday season, providing a convenient alternative to traditional lending options.
As the holiday season approaches, this initiative by Grab and Maya could provide Filipino consumers with an additional financial tool to manage their holiday expenses more effectively.
The Maya and Grab app are available for download free of charge, via the Google Play and the AppStore.
