HMD Global might be revisiting the past with its upcoming phone, the HMD Sage. Leaked images reveal a design that heavily borrows from the popular Nokia Lumia series.
HMD Sage – Nokia Lumia Inspired Design?
The Sage appears similar to the recently launched HMD Skyline, featuring a rounded glass back and a polycarbonate frame. However, the camera module differs, with the Sage sporting a dual-camera setup compared to the Skyline’s triple cameras.
Rumors suggest the Sage will boast a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T760 chipset, and 33W fast charging. It’s also expected to have IP52 dust and water resistance, a headphone jack, and NFC for contactless payments.
While the design might feel like a throwback, the leaked specs hint at a mid-range phone with decent features and functionality. Whether this nostalgia-driven approach resonates with modern users remains to be seen, but the HMD Sage could be an interesting option for those who miss the classic Lumia aesthetic.
