POCO recently announced that it is shutting down its website by the end of the year. No, this doesn’t mean the company is shutting its doors, it is just migrating to the Xiaomi website.
POCO – Website Shut Down
POCO, the Xiaomi sub-brand, announced that it will be moving from its current website and moving to the Xiaomi website starting December 31, 2024.
The sub-brand clarified that you can still enjoy customer and after-sales services from Xiaomi. Moreover, when the website does shut down, QR codes on the devices’ packaging will redirect to the Xiaomi website.
Moreover, it is recommended that you ‘obtain a copy of your personal data and generated on the POCO sites’. You can do this by:
- Log into your Xiaomi Account
- Go to Privacy
- Then go to Manage your data
- Select the Download button next to Mi Store (International)
This allows you to download your personal data collected and generated on the websites.
As previously mentioned, this doesn’t mean that the sub-brand is shutting down as a brand. It is merely transferring its domain to Xiaomi’s website, similar to Redmi.
