ASUS Philippines has unveiled its comprehensive lineup of Z890 motherboards, featuring models from the ROG Maximus, ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, Prime, and ProArt families. These new motherboards are specifically designed to support Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2), marking a notable step forward in motherboard technology.
The launch event, held at Yes Please at the Palace in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, brought together ASUS and Intel representatives to showcase these cutting-edge components to media and industry partners.
Advanced AI Integration
The ASUS Z890 series introduces ASUS AI Advisor, offering real-time hardware guidance for users. These motherboards feature one-click optimization capabilities, including AI Overclocking that adapts the CPU performance based on system components, and AI Cooling II that automatically adjusts fan speeds to reduce noise by up to 5.7dB(A) while maintaining optimal cooling performance.
Revolutionary Memory Support
ASUS has implemented the NitroPath DRAM slot design across select ASUS Z890 motherboards, including the ROG Maximus Z890 Extreme, Hero, and ROG Strix Z890-E Gaming WiFi. The new design enhances slot retention force and reduces noise interference, enabling superior memory overclocking capabilities. The motherboards support the latest Clock Unbuffered DIMM (CUDIMM) kits and feature AEMP III technology, supporting speeds up to DDR5-8000.
Next-Generation Connectivity
The ASUS Z890 series introduces Thunderbolt 5 support, offering up to 80 Gbps bi-directional bandwidth and 120 Gbps with Bandwidth Boost. Select models, including the ROG Maximus Z890 Extreme and ProArt Z890-Creator WiFi, have dual Thunderbolt 5 ports. There’s WiFi 7 support as well, delivering link speeds up to 6.5Gbps with MLO and 4K QAM.
Enhanced DIY Features
Building on ASUS’s commitment to user-friendly design, the Z890 motherboards feature a refined 1080p BIOS interface, Q-Dashboard for visual layout mapping, and MyHotKey for quick access to essential functions. Physical improvements include the PCIe Slot Q-Release Slim, M.2 Q-Slide, and a refreshed Q-Latch design for easier component installation.
