Samsung has just introduced the Samsung ISOCELL ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) lens which it boasts is a more compact telephoto lens for smartphones with a new design.

The new smartphone lens is said to be built on the All Lenses on Prism technology, which has all the lenses on top of the periscope prism. In comparison, current periscope telephoto lenses had the lenses placed between the camera sensor and the prism.
The new design also allows the use of bigger lenses without increasing the height of the camera module and, in turn, the camera bump.
The result of this, according to Samsung, is a more compact lens while still delivering a brighter image.
The company claims that the new ALoP telephoto module offers an f/2.58 aperture at a focal length of 80mm and a 3x optical zoom.
Samsung hasn’t quite revealed which phones will feature the new Samsung ISOCELL ALoP telephoto lens but it is expected to be at least used in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold7.
