NVIDIA Announces Blackwell Family, Major AI, and Computing Advancements at CES 2025

CES 2025, Las Vegas – NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang opened CES 2025 with a keynote speech wherein he introduced the latest from the company.

The NVIDIA Blackwell GeForce RTX 50 family took centerstage with a surprising price for the entire family. It was joined by major AI and computing advancements that focused on three core areas – agentic AI, physical AI for robotics, and next-generation hardware for autonomous vehicles and advanced PC use cases.

The Latest Updates from NVIDIA at CES 2025

Here is a peek into some of these updates.

NVIDIA Blackwell GeForce RTX 50 Series 

The latest GeForce RTX series GPUs, dubbed Blackwell, feature DLSS 4 and RTX Neural Shaders.

It is comprised of the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090. The last of which features 92 billion transistors and 3352 TOPS. 

The company claims that the RTX 5090 outperforms the GeForce RTX 4090 up to 2x. 

NVIDIA Cosmos

Cosmos is a new platform comprising generative world foundation models (WFMs), advanced tokenizers, guardrails, and an accelerated video processing pipeline built to advance the development of physical AIs like autonomous vehicles (AVs) and robots.

Project DIGITS

Project DIGITS, on the other hand, is a personal AI supercomputer that offers access to the power of the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell platform to AI researchers, data scientists, students, and more.

It boasts the GB10 Superchip, 128GB unified memory, and up to 4TB of NVMe storage.

AI Blueprints

NVIDIA, along with its partners, will also release its AI Blueprints for building agentic AI applications poised to help enterprises everywhere automate work. 

Moreover, AI blueprints will also be rolled out to RTX AI PCs with companies like ASUS, GIGABYTE, Dell, and Lenovo set to unveil their latest RTX AI PCs soon. 

Isaac GR00T

One of these AI Blueprints includes Isaac GR00T for synthetic motion generation. It enables developers to generate large synthetic data to train their humanoid robot development efforts.

Nemotron Family Models

In addition to these, the open Llama Nemotron family large language models (LLMs) and Cosmos Nemotron vision language models (VLMs).  

These are said to be able to supercharge AI models on any accelerated system.

VSS

The company announced its AI blueprints for video search and summarisation. It is built is on top of the NVIDIA Metropolis platform and now supercharged by NVIDIA Cosmos Nemotron VLMs, Nemotron LLMs, and NVIDIA NeMo Retriever. 

Omniverse Expansion

Another AI-related announcement was the generative AI models and blueprints that further expand NVIDIA Omniverse integration further into physical AI applications like robotics, autonomous vehicles, and vision AI.

DRIVE Hyperion

DRIVE Hyperion is the company’s and industry’s first and only end-to-end autonomous vehicle (AV) platform. 

It includes the DRIVE AGX SoC and reference board design.

In addition, the company introduced its latest partners – Toyota, Aurora, and Continental.
