Huawei has just officially unveiled the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate Edition, the first tri-fold smartphone in the global market after it was first introduced in China in September 2024.
The Mate XT debuted on the global stage alongside the MatePad Pro 13.2-inch 2025, the HUAWEI ArcFree, and Band 10.

Yes, you read that right! The tri-fold device from Huawei is now in the global market. It goes from 6.4 inches with a 2232×1008 LTPO OLED all the way to a whopping 10.2 inches with a 2232×3184 LTPO OLED when fully expanded. If you’re curious, with two screens, it’s a 7.9-inch LTPO OLED panel with a 2232×2048 resolution.
This is all possible thanks to an Advanced Precision Hinge System with ultra-high-strength steel for durability.
This form factor allows you to use the Mate XT as you place – in the more traditional single screen, for a bit more productivity with dual screens, or maximum productivity and entertainment on triple screen mode.
Moreover, Huawei has done this while keeping it at 3.6mm in triple-screen mode. Assisting the thinness is the use of a silicon anode battery which fits an impressive 5600mAh in an overall slim device.
The HUAWEI Mate XT is not only the first tri-fold foldable device, but it is also the first foldable smartphone that supports a 10-size adjustable physical aperture, ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0 on its 50MP XMAGE main camera. The main snapper is joined by a 12MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP periscope telephoto snapper that offers up to 5.5x optical zoom.
The physical adjustable aperture makes the HUAWEI Mate XT an impressive device in low-light settings and when you need more background blur.

Pricing and Availability
The HUAWEI Mate XT is available in two colors – Black and Nebula Red. Globally it is priced at EUR 3,499 ( around PHP 213,000) for the lone 16GB+1TB version.
Huawei Philippines has confirmed that it will be arriving locally in March.
