OPPO has launched its latest flagship foldable smartphone, the OPPO Find N5. This device is the world’s thinnest book-style foldable when closed, measuring a mere 8.93mm and weighing only 229g. It is also the first foldable to be rated IPX9 for water resistance and powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.

“Find N5 unlocks the potential of folding phones, putting tablet and laptop experiences in our
hands. It’s impossibly thin and light, and ColorOS 15 is precision-tuned to do more across two
immersive displays, with AI-powered tools, and advanced integration with Macs. Find N5
doesn’t close doors, it opens them, unfolding the potential of all your tech while keeping you
connected all day and beyond.”

Design and Durability

The Find N5 is a premium device with a premium design, featuring flat sides for a secure grip and a contoured metal frame. Available in two colors, Cosmic Black and Misty White, it is built to last with an IPX9 rating for water resistance and an Armour Shield architecture. The frame is made from 7000 series aluminum alloy, increasing its strength by 30%, and the cover display is made from ultra-durable nanocrystal glass, improving drop resistance by up to 20%.

Titanium Flexion Hinge

The Find N5’s Titanium Flexion Hinge is another highlight of the device. It is 26% smaller yet 36% more rigid than the previous generation, thanks to an overhauled structure and upgraded materials. The hinge cover and wing plate are made of Grade 5 titanium alloy, 3D printed to achieve the perfect shape. The hinge’s load-bearing components are made using Ultra-High Strength Steel (UHSS) exclusively customized by OPPO, with an industry-leading yield strength of 2000 MPa. The hinge glides smoothly as you open and close it, while the contoured, flat sides create a perfect grip. The Find N5 has also been certified by TÜV Rheinland for Reliable Folding, having been tested in extreme environments.

Two Large Displays

The Find N5 features two high-quality displays, an 8.12″ unfolded screen, and a 6.62-inch 20.7:9 cover display. The unfolded screen has a shallow, narrow crease and is the first smartphone to earn TÜV Rheinland’s Minimized Crease Certification. The Dual Shielded Flexible Screen has nine layers for 70% impact resistance. Both displays have over 400PPI clarity, a smooth 1-120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of over 2000 nits when displaying HDR content. They also have low-flicker, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and OPPO Pen support.

Battery Life

The Find N5 delivers the best battery life of any folding phone, thanks to its ultra-high capacity 5600mAh dual-cell battery. This breakthrough battery life is made possible by the next-gen OPPO Silicon-Carbon Battery, which features an industry-leading 10% silicon, resulting in an incredibly slim 2.1mm cell despite its class-leading capacity. The Find N5 also supports 80W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.
