At this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), Infinix introduced innovative technologies that emphasize sustainability, artificial intelligence, and personalization. The brand presented pioneering advancements that reinforces its vision of “Empowering Tomorrow with AI, Eco-Tech, and Personalized Innovations.”

SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology: A Sustainable Power Solution

Infinix SolarEnergy Reserving

The first major innovation unveiled by Infinix is the SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology, a concept designed to extend battery life using ambient light. It combines advanced perovskite photovoltaic technology with intelligent AI algorithms.

The system is capable of capturing light energy from both indoor and outdoor sources, converting it into electricity that can be stored within a prototype smartphone and phone case. It features contact points that allow seamless energy transfer from the case to the device. Via AI-driven algorithms, the system optimizes power acquisition in real-time, enabling efficient energy storage of up to 2W.

The AI-driven “Sunflower” Wireless Charging Technology draws inspiration from heliotropic plants that naturally orient toward light sources. Using intelligent light positioning and transmission techniques, the system dynamically adjusts the transmission path based on indoor lighting conditions and the device’s position, ensuring efficient power reception within a 3-meter optimal range.

Key features of the SolarEnergy-Reserving Technology include:

  • Extended standby power through autonomous optimization of energy collection
  • AI-optimized energy management that integrates with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
  • Emergency power access during outages or critical situations

E-Color Shift 2.0: AI-Enhanced Personalization

The second major announcement from Infinix is the E-Color Shift 2.0, an advanced AI-driven customization experience that transforms smartphone aesthetics. Building upon its predecessor, this feature allows users to personalize their device’s appearance through dynamic, interactive color transitions.

The technology offers two primary modes:

  1. Customize Mode: Users can select from six dynamic patterns and six vibrant color palettes, creating up to 30 unique combinations.
  2. AI-Recognize Mode: Through AI-powered modules, the phone’s back cover intelligently adjusts based on factors like weather, wallpaper selections, and surroundings, offering a seamless, evolving aesthetic experience.

Future Outlook and Product Announcements

While these technologies are currently in concept form, they showcase Infinix’s vision for a smarter, more sustainable, and highly personalized future in mobile technology. The company has also announced that its upcoming NOTE 50 range, scheduled for release at the end of March 2025, will incorporate enhanced charging capabilities, next-generation AI features, and a premium metal design.

Tony Zhao, General Manager of Infinix, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing users’ lifestyles through technology: “Our focus is not just on creating powerful, high-performance devices but on shaping solutions that align with the fast-paced, evolving lifestyles of today’s users.”
