OPPO could be working on a foldable book-style tablet after its patent application was spotted at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) database.
OPPO – Foldable Tablet

According to the details, the patent was filed in June 2022 by OPPO and registered by WIPO on March 4, 2025. The patent includes design schematics of what appears to be a tablet-like device that is foldable.

While it isn’t explicitly mentioned to be a tablet, the schematics are a device with a thin profile and a single camera sensor on the back, which is more akin to a tablet.

The images also show a power button on the right edge, volume rockers close to the bottom, and a USB-C port in the middle near the hinge.

Currently, there are no foldable tablets on the market, but there are folding laptops like the ASUS Zenbook 17 Fold and Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold. Although there were previous reports that claimed that Apple is working on a foldable iPad, which is the closest thing to what OPPO is working on.
With foldables in the mobile market continuing to grow, a tablet just makes sense with how big its display is. It also helps that most tablets are now being marketed as an alternative to a laptop.
It seems pretty early to expect OPPO to mention this device as it is still a patent, but it is pretty exciting for tech enthusiasts and fans of foldable devices.

He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
