Samsung Display showcased the Samsung Flex Gaming, a handheld gaming concept that folds and features the company’s 7.2-inch foldable OLED panel, at Mobile World Congress 2025 (MWC 2025).

The concept device looks to make handheld gaming consoles more portable by folding the handheld down the middle. This kind of technology would help gamers who want a handheld console but haven’t pulled the trigger because of the size of current devices like the Steam Deck, MSI Claw, ROG Ally, and Lenovo Legion Go.
Samsung Display didn’t reveal the resolution, refresh rate, and brightness used in the Samsung Flex Gaming though.
The concept device has a pair of joysticks and D-Pads on either side of the panel like other handheld gaming consoles. However, there’s a cavity in the middle of the D-Pads in the middle.
Other buttons and ports include a home button on the right, a button marked ‘N’ on the left, and a USB-C port at the bottom. Moreover, this current version comes in a pretty unique and eye-catching lime green-like color.
With handheld gaming consoles on the rise now with companies like ASUS, Lenovo, MSI, Valve, AYANEO, and more getting deep into the new market, seeing even more innovation is always welcome for consumers and tech enthusiasts.
Keep in mind though that the Samsung Flex Gaming is a concept device, meaning we may not even see it ever reach mass production.
