Instagram has officially taken the wraps off the Edits app, a separate video editing app for content creators on both Android and iOS.
Edits App Launch
Instagram Head Adam Mosseri previously announced Edits, following the TikTok ban in the US, to offer an alternative video editing app on the go.
It is now available for Instagram users on both Android and iOS worldwide and is said to make it easier for creators to make content while on the go. The app allows you to capture 10-minute high-resolution videos and use quick editing tools.
Among its features are:
- Enhance the details, clarity, and other aspects of videos
- Audio enhancement features like noise reduction and voice enhancement
- Caption Generation with customization options
- AI features to animate images, apply effects, and more
- One-tap green screen to add more elements to the videos
The company also integrated real-time insights into your videos as well as the monitoring of engagement and performance of each reel.
Instagram announced that it will introduce features to its new video editing app in the following days, including keyframes, AI modifications, collaboration, and animations, to name a few.
Edits can now be installed via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
