Samsung announced that the official rollout of One UI 7 will start this April, bringing a new design for greater personalization and control to the user experience.
The update will be available starting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, and will gradually roll out to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
One UI 7 – Official Rollout
One UI 7 comes with a simple, impactful, and emotive design for a more streamlined and cohesive experience. It includes a simplified home screen and redesigned One UI widgets and lock screen that allow more customization.
The Now Bar also provides real-time updates that matter most on the lock screen. This includes your progress during your morning run, or see what song is playing in your Galaxy Buds without unlocking your phone.
The latest version of One UI also introduces AI-driven experiences to help you stay productive and explore your creativity, like AI Select, Writing Assist, Drawing Assist, and Audio Eraser.
- AI Select – intuitively recommends action based on your context, like saving a video as a GIF file
- Writing Assist – easily summarizes or automatically formats content, in which texts can be selected
- Drawing Assist – brings ideas to life with more than a single input, including combinations of text prompts and images or sketches
- Audio Eraser – isolates categories of sounds and removes unwanted noise in videos
Moreover, One UI 7 comes with deeper Google Gemini integration that makes controlling the device as easy as talking to a friend.
Natural language search also extends to Settings, making it easier to adjust preferences. An example of this is going into Settings and saying “My eyes are feeling tired”. This will then adjust brightness or turn on Eye comfort.
Availability
One UI 7 will begin rolling out in the Philippines within April and will expand to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the following weeks. Among the devices are:
