Shortly after we entered 2022, there were reports that Samsung will introduce the Exynos 2200 on January 11. However, early yesterday leakster Ice Universe revealed Samsung has delayed the debut of its next flagship chipset, Exynos 2200.

The delay could suggest problems behind the scenes. The leakster recalls the mid-range Exynos 1200 which was expected to be unveiled in November 2021 but is yet to be launched. Additionally, the mid-range Exynos chip was initially spotted powering the Galaxy M33 5G and A53 5G which are yet to debut as well.

Exynos 2200 launch delayed

Korean media report that the company will introduce the Galaxy S22 series on February 8 with sales set to start on February 25. Last year, the S21 series was announced two days after the Exynos 2100 was introduced on January 12, 2021. If the company follows the schedule, there is still time for the new flagship chipset to debut.

That’s if it will follow the schedule or if the chipset is even ready in time for the launch date. Let’s not forget there’s still about a month to go until the launch of the new Galaxy S series though. So we’ll just have to see if the new flagship chipset will also be unveiled.
