Wireless leader, Smart Communications Inc., recently launched the LTE variant of the LG G2 Mini at the Museum Cafe, Greenbelt.

Exclusive to Smart for 1 month, the device is being offered at Smart All-In Plan 1200 that comes with unlimited LTE surfing. I’ve been using Smart’s LTE service and I’m simply and utterly impressed with its performance. Just to break down the inclusive services in Smart’s All-in Plan 1200, it’s a bundled Unli LTE 995 plus a balance, which may be used to avail various call and text bundles.

The LG G2 Mini LTE is miniaturized version of last year’s LG G2. It packs some of the premium features of the G2 to this compact, lighter and more affordable G2 Mini. But unlike the G2, the G2 Mini packs a 4.7-inch qHD IPS display. It has a quad-core cpu and pre-installed with the latest version of Android KitKat.

[su_highlight]Did you know that the LG G2 Mini launched last month at 71 Gramercy is just an LG G2 Mini 3G Dual? It’s SRP is PhP13,990. The one Smart is selling is the LTE version.[/su_highlight]

The device includes a now-feature “Knock Code” which allows users to simply tap twice on the screen to wake the phone up from sleep mode.  New LG devices like LG G Pro 2 and L70 Dual have similar feature.

The LG G2 Mini Lte also features a “Rear key” that allows users to take full control of their phones with their index finger using a rocker placed at the back of the phone. It’s a unconventional location, but proved to be very useful during my review of the highly revered LG G Pro 2. Other noteworthy features of the said device includes “Guest Mode” and “Plug and Pop”.

Here’s the complete list of all the important features of the G2 Mini LTE:

  • Rear Key
  • 4.7-inch IPS Display
  • 8mp Camera
  • 2,440 mAh Battery
  • Quadcore
  • Knock Code
  • Clip Tray
  • Capture Plus
  • Guest Mode
  • Plug and Pop
  • Quick Remote

This offering is just one of Smart’s way of supporting their outstanding performance in terms of 18% increase in total subscriber rate. What are you waiting for, guys? I’m pretty excited with this offering and I’m seriously considering to get one for my wife. How about you? What are your thoughts about the phone and the plan offering by Smart?
