Redmi K50 Gaming Unveiled in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Chipset

Xiaomi has just unveiled the Redmi K50 Gaming in China. The new gaming device is a successor to the Redmi K40 Gaming.

The K50 Gaming is built around a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and a punch hole up front houses a 20MP Sony IMX596 front sensor.

Meanwhile, around the back, is a 64MP Sony IMX686 main lens, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP telemacro sensor.

Under the hood, the Redmi K50 Gaming is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset with a dual vapor chamber cooling system to keep the chipset cool. The chipset is coupled with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.

The Gaming device is equipped with a 4700mAh battery with support for 120W charging that is said to fully charge the cell in 17 minutes. It also carries over the physical game triggers on the right of the device. Additionally, it has the company’s CyberEngine x-axis haptics motor and dual JBL-tuned speakers.

Redmi K50 Gaming launch CH - Mercedes F1 Edition

The Redmi K50 Gaming arrives in Black, Silver, and Dream Blue color options in addition to a Mercedes AMG F1 Edition. The base 8/128GB option is priced at CNY 3,299, while the 12/128GB variant goes for CNY 3,599. Meanwhile, the top-specced 12/256GB configuration is priced at CNY 3,899. Lastly, the limited-edition Mercedes AMG F1 Edition comes with 12/256GB and is available for CNY 4,199.

The device will be available in China starting February 18. Its international availability has yet to be announced though.
