Both the Dimensity 8100 and 8000 chips feature four Cortex-A78 CPU cores and four A55 little cores. The GPU is a Mali-G610 which uses ARM’s latest GPU architecture. The 8100 has a 20% higher GPU frequency.

They also have an Imagiq 780 ISP that can handle 5 gigapixels per second and record HDR video from two cameras at a time. In addition, it is capable of recording 4K 60fps HDR10+ with a single camera. The ISP also handles cameras up to 200MP sensors and has AI-powered noise reduction and HDR imaging.

Here are the detailed specs for both chips along with the Dimensity 9000 for comparison:

The Dimensity 1300 was also introduced but it only offers an improved NPU performance over the Dimensity 1200. In addition, the new chipset also has HDR processing with AI. The rest of its hardware and specs though are pretty much identical.

Smartphones that are powered by the Dimensity 8100 and 8000, as well as 1300, will come Q1 of 2022 around March.
