Google is rumored to release the Google Pixel Watch soon and is expected to be shown during the upcoming I/O 2022 event. These rumors seem to be confirmed by the latest Google trademark filing that was spotted alongside some design images that were shared by Android Central.

The trademark filing was at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) which applied for the trademark of the Pixel Watch moniker. Meanwhile, Google has stated that the pixel watch will cover categories like smartwatches, watch cases, wearable computers, smartwatch bands, and straps.

Additionally, the date (April 22, 2022) seen on the trademark filing is still unclear if it is correct but it has been already accepted by the USPTO. The Google Pixel Watch is said to feature cutting-edge tech and innovations with reports saying that it will have Fitbit integration, a step counter, a heart rate sensor, and other functions.

On the other hand, Android Central posted a few images showing the Google Pixels Design. The smartwatch is shown to sport super-slim bezels with a minimalist overall design. Reports also said that the smartwatch will feature two hidden buttons one of which is seen beside the crown.

The watch also comes with its own strap, which is seen sporting the color blue, which may likely mean you cannot swap it with 3rd party brands. The source also said that the bottom part of the watch seems to be coated with glass and may come pre-loaded with Wear OS 3.1 which Google and Samsung co-developed.

Moreover, the package of the device, which was left and found in a restaurant in the UK, could be a testing model for the internal Pixel team according to the report.

The package also carries the text “This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission and Industry Canada, nor has it been tested for compliance with EU regulations”. the text also stated that the device was for internal testing only and that the “markings and packaging are not final”.

We will have to wait for the official statement of Google or the I/O 2022 event for confirmation of all the leaked information stated above.
