Canon Philippines has announced the launch of the Canon EOS R5 C and RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye lens.

Canon EOS R5 C
The Canon EOS R5 C is equipped with a full-frame CMOS sensor that boasts 45 million effective pixels and a DIGIC X image processor. The latter produces an internal recording of 8K/30p RAW video and 8K/60p RAW video when using an external power supply.
The full pixel readout from 8K effective pixels allows the camera to perform oversampling to generate high-image-quality 4K/4:2:2/10bit video. Moreover, it has a proprietary heat transfer architecture and an internal thermal transfer fan built into the camera. This enables video recording for longer durations.
The camera employs the Cinema RAW Light recording format that preserves the data-richness of RAW video while also reducing file size. Moreover, it supports Canon’s proprietary XF-AVC format based on broadcast standards making it versatile and compatible with a wide range of user workflows.
It also supports a high frame rate of up to 4K/120p video recording even when shooting slow-motion video.
As far as imaging goes, the Canon EOS R5 C can capture high image quality even for moving images. When using the electronic shutter, it can take continuous stills shooting of up to approximately 20 frames-per-second (fps) and up to 12 fps when using the mechanical shutter.
RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye lens
Meanwhile, the RF 5.2mm f/2.8L Dual Fisheye lens is compatible with Virtual Reality (VR) videos with its VR-ready lens solution. The new lens is a dedicated RF Lens for EOS R5 and R5 C which can produce 180-degree 3D visuals and record high-quality VR videos with its 8K recording capabilities.
The lens uses a Dual-Lens Electro-Magnetic Diaphragm that controls exposure electronically with a large aperture of f/2.8m. Its CMOS image sensor, on the other hand, simplifies the workflow from production to post-production as users don’t need to align and sync camera positions before a shoot.
Canon EOS R5 C pricing and availability
The Canon EOS R5 C is available in the Philippines at PHP 280,998. It can be pre-ordered in all Canon Image Squares, Concept Stores, Canon Online Flagship stores, and selected authorized retailers around the country.
