Nothing is set to introduce its first smartphone, the Nothing phone (1) on July 12 at 4 PM British Summer Time (that’s 11 PM in the Philippines). Ahead of the launch, the company shared sample photos taken with the smartphone as well as revealed the camera specs.
The device is confirmed to have a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with an f/1.88 aperture accompanied by an ultrawide snapper with a 114° field of view. The dual cameras have OIS and EIS and support video recording with 1 billion colors.
Other features revealed include Night Mode and Scene Detection. The latter suggests the best settings for your shot by automatically identifying what you’re taking a photo of.
“So Phone (1) has just two cameras. Two superb ones. Not four mediocre ones.” the company mentioned in the announcement.
