Nothing has rolled out Nothing OS Version 1.1.2 for the phone (1) bringing improvements to UI, charging with third-party chargers, and more. This follows the 1.1.0 update that introduced camera improvements.
Version 1.1.2 introduces the option to show the fingerprint icon when the screen is off. This is a welcome addition as you don’t have to guess where the fingerprint scanner is when it’s locked.
The new version also sets the Always on Display turned off during the night by default. Moreover, it improved charging performance and compatibility with third-party chargers and resolved a Bluetooth codec issue.
The rest of it are bug fixes, stability improvement, and optimization. Overall, it’s a pretty minor update at just 38.28 MB.
We’re not quite sure what percentage of Nothing phone (1) users actually experienced these issues. So far, we haven’t come across any of the issues, especially with third-party chargers and Bluetooth codec.
Regardless, Nothing OS Version 1.1.2 comes at a good time with the phone (1) officially available starting August 1 in the Philippines via Digital Walker.
Stay tuned for our full review of the Nothing phone (1) later this week.
