Insta360 has just unveiled the Insta360 X3 1/2-inch 48MP sensors and a 2.29-inch touchscreen.
“With the X series, we are reinventing the point-and-shoot camera to make it easier for anyone to be a creator. X3 is built to help the next generation of creators take their creativity to new heights,”
JK Liu, Insta360 Founder
The new Insta360 X3 captures 5.7K 360 video with Active HDR and the Invisible Selfie Stick effect. Additionally, it takes 72MP photos with stunning details or shoots 8K 360 time-lapses. The new 360 camera doubles as a standard action camera with a Single-Lens Mode upgraded to ultra-wide 4K.
By shooting first in 360 degrees and then reframing later, a 4:5 Instagram post can be turned into a 9:16 TikTok video in a tap without losing any quality.
The camera also features a new Active HDR mode powered by the new 1/2-inch 48MP sensors. The feature uses an innovative algorithm to stabilize action footage, minimize ghosting and reveal details that other action cams miss.
There’s also the new Me Mode which allows you to shoot invisible selfie shots at 60fps without reframing. Moreover, the new action cam has a new extremely wide 170° MaxView at 2.7K for immersive POV videos.
The Insta360 X3 has a six-axis gyroscope and FlowState stabilization to keep your videos stable even in all the action. It also has a 360° Horizon Lock to keep the horizon level even when you completely rotate the camera.
Other features include:
- waterproof to 33ft (10m) out of the box
- 2.29-inch tempered glass touchscreen
- Four buttons for easy control
- Direction Focus audio
- 1800mAh battery
