Intel has recently launched the latest 13th Gen Core processors and has received rave reviews globally, with the Intel Core i9 13900K beating the newly released AMD Ryzen 9 7950X in gaming. Moreover, the global MSRP of the flagship 13900K processor is considerably lower than the AMD counterpart. Even with local taxes and inflation, the Intel Core i9 13900K is still the cheaper option in the Philippines. Alongside the launch of the Intel 13th Generation Desktop Processors is Intel’s latest Arc A380 graphics card.

Despite local inflation, we’re enjoying the same pricing level as last year’s Intel 12th Gen Alderlake processors. As of writing, only K and KF models are available at launch as well as Z790 motherboards. We expect the non-k models to be available around Q1 2023 alongside the H770, B760, and H710 motherboards. The 13th generation CPUs uses the same LGA 1700 socket and are therefore backwards compatible with Intel 600 series chipsets such as Z690 and B660 although support may vary per motherboard and might require a BIOS update. Additionally, the Intel 13th Gen processors support both DDR4 and DDR5 memory
Intel Arc A380 Pricing and Availability
Intel has also launched its Arc discrete graphics with its entry-level dGPU, the Intel Arc A380. Unfortunately, unlike the Arc A750 and Arc A770, the Arc A380 doesn’t have any reference model. That said, the Intel Arc A380 model that’s available in the Philippines is from ASRock, the ASRock Arc A380 Challenger ITX OC graphics card. The ARC A380 GPU is currently priced at Php 8,900 and is set to compete with the Nvidia GTX 1650 and AMD RX 6500 XT.
