Razer is gearing up to launch the Razer Edge this January 26 and it will come with a WiFi and 5G version.

First off, the Razer Edge will come with a Kishi V2 Pro controller. It is detachable making it look like a phone but we are not sure if this can make phone calls though.

As for the specs, the device is powered by a Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chipset (based on the Snapdragon 888 SoC) paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

It also features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display that has a 2,400 x 1,080p resolution (20:9) and 144Hz refresh rate (no info regarding the touch sampling rate as of the moment).

Other features of the Razer Edge are as follows:

  • Wi-Fi 6E connectivity
  • Verizon is offering 5G – both sub-6GHz and mmWave
  • Bluetooth 5.2
  • 2-way speakers with THX Spatial Audio
  • 2 microphones for voice chat
  • A single 5MP front-facing camera (1080p at 60fps video)
  • 5,000mAh battery
  • weighs 264g (goes up to 540g once you attach the controller)

The Razer Edge WiFi will go for USD 400 (around PHP 22, 050). The Founders Edition includes Razer Hammerhead True Wireless (2021) earbuds and costs USD 500 (around PHP 27,600). You can now reserve a WiFi model from Razer’s website.

On the other hand, a Verizon version is also available with a price tag of  USD 600 (around PHP 33,080), but you can get it for USD 360 (around PHP 19,900) (USD 10 (around PHP 551) a month for 36 months) for a limited time with a new contract. 

However, if you buy a new 5G smartphone alongside the Razer Edge 5G, the price will drop to USD 180 (around PHP 9,930) (USD 5 (around PHP 276) a month for 36 months). More info here.
