Samsung’s latest modem is said to offer up to 10Gbps download and up to 3.87Gbps upload speeds as well as support for both SA (standalone) and NSA (non-standalone) 5G networks.
The modem can be configured to be able to connect to a variety of chipsets via its PCIe interface. It also supports the 3GPP 5G NR Release 16 standard.
Moreover, the new modem is built on the Samsung 4nm EUV process which is said to bring longer battery life for the device thanks to better power efficiency.
The company didn’t reveal when we’ll get to see a chipset with the Exynos Modem 5300. However, there are rumors that the Google Tensor 3 chipset which will debut on the Pixel 8 series will be the first to feature the new modem.
