OnePlus revealed on Weibo that the upcoming OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will have a BOE OLED panel and be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The device is scheduled to make its debut in China on August 16.

According to the latest teaser for the device, it will have a 6.74-inch OLED display, specifically a Q9+ panel from BOE. It will have a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color support, and HDR10+ certification.

The BOE Q9+ panel offers better color reproduction, low light optimizations, and better uniformity compared to the B9 panel.

The Ace 2 Pro is also confirmed to have up to 24GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, a 5000mAh battery, and 150W SUPERVOOC charging.

The 150W fast charging technology is said to charge the phone’s battery to full in just 17 minutes. The latest Ace device will also come packaged with a 150W GaN USB C-to-C charging that can also output 45W with the USB Power Delivery standard.

The upcoming device is the first smartphone from the company to support the alternative Universal Fast Charging Specification protocol (UFCS). This was developed led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology to bring compatibility between the fast charging solutions of Huawei, OPPO, Xiaomi, and vivo.

The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro will be introduced on August 16 at 2:30 PM, GMT+8. It is expected to stay in China but a similar device is rumored to make it to the global market as the OnePlus 11T. Whether this is true though, we’ll just have to wait for an official announcement.
