Xiaomi has just held a massive launch event where it debuted the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max, Smart Band 8 Pro, Redmi K60 Ultra, and its latest foldable, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 features a new proprietary hinge, UTG Glass on the inner display, and a quad rear camera setup.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 3
The Mix Fold 3 features an E6 OLED panel on both the 6.56-inch outer panel and the 8.03-inch inner panel both with a peak brightness of 2600 nits. The outer panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the inner display has ultra-thin glass (UTG) to keep it safe.
The company’s latest foldable features a new 3-element hinge comprised of 198 parts and is said to last up to 500,000 folds. This also allows the foldable to lay flat without a prominent crease on the inner display.
Around the back, it features Xiaomi and Leica co-engineered Summicron lens led by a 50MP main lens with Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) OIS. This is accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide lens, a 10MP 3.2x portrait telephoto snapper, and a 10MP 5x telephoto sensor. Both the outer and inner panels have 20MP cameras as well.
Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Leading Version with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Yes, the chipset is the same overclocked variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 as the RedMagic 8S Pro announced last month.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 boasts a 4800mAh battery with three Xiaomi Surge chipsets and support for 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
The foldable also features the company’s self-developed vertical stack motherboard which allowed the company to put 2203 components in a 16.9 cm2 area.

Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is available in China in two glass colors (Gold and Black) and a Composite Fiber black option. The foldable comes in three variants and these are priced at:
- 12GB+256GB – CNY 8,999 (around PHP 70,500)
- 16GB+512GB – CNY 9,999 (around PHP 78,300)
- 16GB+1TB – CNY 10,999 (around PHP 86,200)
It is uncertain if we will see this foldable in the global market. It’s probably best not to keep our hopes up since the Mix Fold 2 was also a China-exclusive device.
