Qualcomm revealed the Snapdragon X Series as its new PC naming architecture, moving away from its previous “cx” naming scheme. The last of which was the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3.
The new chipsets are said to deliver next-level performance, AI, connectivity, and battery life.
Snapdragon X Series
The Snapdragon X series platforms look to do so with a next-generation custom Qualcomm Oryon CPU through the company’s years of experience engineering heterogeneous compute architectures. This is said to offer enhanced performance and power efficiency. This combined with the NPU is claimed to accelerate on-device user experiences for generative AI.
Not much else is revealed about the company’s next-generation PC chipsets though, as of writing this. Although, more information will be shared at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit.
