Kingston Technology recently announced that it remains the top third-party supplier of DRAM modules globally. This recognition comes from the latest rankings by revenue provided by TrendForce, an analyst firm.
Kingston has maintained its number one position with an estimated 78.12% market share and revenue of $13.5 billion (USD). While the DRAM module sales across the industry in 2022 decreased by 4.6% compared to the previous year, Kingston’s revenue also saw a slight drop but it managed to retain its top position for the 20th year in a row.
Kingston Still Dominates the Market
According to the report, the top five memory module companies worldwide accounted for 90% of total sales in 2022, and Kingston remained the dominant player with its 78.12% market share. Consumer buying patterns for electronic products were affected by high inflation, but Kingston’s strong brand and comprehensive product supply chain helped it maintain its position at the top.
In 2022, Kingston upgraded its Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 and Renegade DDR5 memory modules by introducing white heat spreaders. This change allows users to choose the color that suits their style, whether they have a traditional all-black system or a modern all-white PC.
Kingston expressed its satisfaction with the 2022 results, stating:
