With the announcement of the JoyRide SuperTaxi service, the company expanded its offerings. These SuperTaxis take inspiration from Japanese taxis with the aim to offer comfort and safety all with the regular metered taxi fare.

According to the company, these SuperTaxis will feature amenities to improve passenger comfort, convenience, and safety at the regular metered taxi fare rate. These will be available to be hailed on the street or via the JoyRide Superapp.

These have a uniform black paint, a high ceiling, a modern digital toplight, and a spacious five-seater cab. Based on the photos and promotional materials, it appears that SuperTaxis will be using the Toyota Veloz.

Initially, 25 units will be deployed in Metro Manila with plans to increase the fleet and expand to regions like Pampanga and Ilocos Norte.

The company assured that drivers for the JoyRide SuperTaxi service will go through a strict selection process to prioritize the safe transportation of passengers to their destination while using the regular metered taxi fare rates.
