Infinix expanded its HOT series with the introduction of the Infinix HOT 40 series comprised of the HOT 40, 40 Pro, and 40i. These are successors to the HOT 30 series introduced in April 2023, with the HOT 30i and HOT 30 brought to the Philippines in April and June, respectively.

All three devices come with a 5000mAh battery and MediaTek Helio G series chipset.

Infinix HOT 40 Pro

The HOT 40 Pro is the top-seeded variant of the Infinix HOT 40 series. It is built around a 6.78-inch 120Hz FHD+ LCD panel. It stands out among the three devices thanks to its 108MP main camera and the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset at the helm.

The main sensor is joined by a 2MP macro lens and an AI camera. On the front, it has a 32MP sensor with a Magic Ring, the company’s own take on the Apple Dynamic Island feature. The Magic Ring offers notifications including giving information when the phone is unlocked, being charged, or used in calls.

The device offers 33W fast charging and features an X-boost engine for enhanced stability during gameplay.

The vanilla variant, on the other hand, shares much of the specs of its Pro sibling including the display, front camera, and fast charging.

However, the panel is toned down to a 90Hz refresh rate and the main camera is only a 50MP sensor. The vanilla variant is also powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset.

Infinix HOT 40i

Last but not least is the HOT 40i, the most affordable of the Infinix HOT 40 series. It has a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD panel but retains the 90Hz refresh rate of its vanilla sibling.

The 40i is powered by a Unisoc T606 chipset with 4/8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The device features a 50MP main camera and just the AI lens. It also offers only 18W fast charging but retains the 32MP front sensor and Magic Ring feature.

How much does the Infinix HOT 40 series cost and where is it available?

As of writing this, the company has yet to announce the price of the Infinix HOT 40 series. It is said to vary from market to market but it is expected to be priced under USD 200 (around PHP 11,100).

Update: The HOT 40 series is now available in the Philippines and it is priced at:

  • HOT 40 Pro (8GB+256GB) – PHP 7,499
  • HOT 40 (8GB+256GB)- PHP 6,499
  • HOT 40i (8GB+128GB) – PHP 5,499
  • HOT 40i (8GB+256GB) – PHP 5,999
