HONOR has just introduced its next-generation mid-range tablet – the HONOR Pad 9 alongside its latest flagship killer, the HONOR 90 GT. The two devices debuted right before Christmas and only recently were made officially available.

Yes, the HONOR Pad 9 is the successor to the Pad 8 which was introduced locally in October 2022.

The HONOR Pad 9 is built around a 12.1-inch 2.5K TFT IPS LCD panel. The display boasts up to 500 nits of brightness, Winning Bidding Institute certified for visual comfort, and TÜV Rheinland certified for non-reflection, low blue light, and flicker-free.

The tablet also has a Soft Light version which has a special paper-like eye-projecting matte finish on the display. This is said to diffuse reflection and reduce the impact of light and sunlight. This is said to be the better option for those who like working with a stylus.

Speaking of the stylus, the tablet supports the Magic Pencil 3 which you can magnetically charge when placed on the top of the device and is said to offer up to 10 hours of battery.

Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. It also has two microphones and eight speakers for extra immersion.

The tablet runs on MagicOS 7.2 on top of Android 13 and supports 35W fast charging for its 8300mAh battery.

  • 8GB+128GB (WiFi) – CNY 1,599 (around PHP 12,400)
  • 8GB+256GB (WiFi) – CNY 1,799 (around PHP 14,000)
  • 12GB+256GB (WiFi) – CNY 1,999 (around PHP 15,500)
  • 12GB+512GB (WiFi) – CNY 2,199 (around PHP 17,100)

Meanwhile, if the Soft Light Edition interests you, there are two options:

  • 8GB+256GB (WiFi) – CNY 1,899 (around PHP 14,700)
  • 12GB+256GB (WiFi) – CNY 2,099 (around PHP 16,300)
