Earlier this month, Lenovo outed four — that’s right, four — different laptops that are headed straight for the consumer notebook category. The world-famous PC company held a launch event for local media at the Discovery Primea in Makati City wherein it showcased four of its latest laptop models, including a Z series notebook, an ideapad, and finally two new Yoga convertible laptop computers.
Lenovo Yoga 300 and Yoga 500
The Lenovo Yoga 300 and Yoga 500 combined to star in this month’s launch, as the latest models in Lenovo’s now long-running family of laptops with rotating touchscreens. But although they make look similar, they actually have many apparent differences.
The Yoga 300 is an 11-inch model with a 10-pt touch-responsive HD screen. It runs Windows 8.1 right out of the box, and without much of a hassle at that, thanks to its use of an Intel Pentium N3540 processor plus half a terabyte of storage.
Meanwhile, the Yoga 500 is a bigger model, with either a 14- or 15-inch Full HD screen, up to a full 1TB of storage, and the use of Intel’s Core i7 processors. Its available colors are black and red, while the Yoga 300 can only be purchased in black.
Another one of the laptops launched this month is the Lenovo ideapad 100. This reminds one of the “new” netbooks of today. Although it uses a 14-inch screen, comes with 500GB internal storage, and runs on Intel’s latest Baytrail-M processors.
Finally, the Lenovo Z51 is the most premium model out of all the ones launched this month. It’s an actual full-sized laptop, and it even has a built-in optical drive on the right side.
