At the annual media event, the tech giant emphasized the importance of forming an eco-connection, representing two key elements central to its corporate mission.

First, it signifies Epson’s unwavering commitment to building a sustainable future. This involves creating eco-efficient products, adopting sustainable practices in our operations, and forming impact partnerships and initiatives for both people and the planet.

The second key element is the strong bond between Epson and its partners and customers as they work together to promote sustainability.

The company integrates sustainability in its day-to-day processes like reducing west and emissions in manufacturing and aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Epson is also leading the way in the use of solar power. It is the first Japanese manufacturer to transition all its global sites including its Batangas manufacturing plant to 100% renewable energy.

“At Epson, we have a philosophy called Sho-Sho-Sei—efficient, compact, and precise. Aligned with our ‘Engineered for Good’ initiative, the core of what we do is creating products that use less energy and resources throughout their lifecycle.” Masako Kusama, Epson Philippines President and Director

The company is now working toward becoming carbon-negative and underground resource-free by 2050. To achieve this, it is investing heavily in decarbonization, resource recycling, and environmental technology development.

Moreover, it is also making strides in sustainable action through its partnership with WWF-Philippines. Initiatives from the partnership include educational Panda Talks and the Mangrove Restoration Project.

New Sustainability Initiatives

Looking ahead, Epson looks to further its partnership with WWF-Partnership with a new project. It aims to boost the capabilities of the A.T.E Atelier Sewing Recycling Art Studio in Siargao Island by providing machinery, building infrastructure, and empowering the community.

The company also hinted at the local launch of a game-changing business inkjet printer lineup soon.

“These printers are designed to be eco-conscious and offer stress-free solutions for businesses. With this line’s high-speed printing and scanning capabilities, compact design, and reduced environmental impact, we believe they will revolutionize the printing industry and provide businesses with reliable and efficient printing solutions.” Thea Austria, Epson Philippines Manager for Corporate Printers Group, Product Marketing Division

“At Epson, we’re not just building products, we’re building a greener tomorrow. As we celebrate 15 years of Fusion, we invite everyone to join us in this mission,” concluded Kusama. “Together, let’s save energy, make responsible choices, and create a thriving future for both people and the planet.”
