Qualcomm has just debuted the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 without much fanfare. The latest chipset offers a new SoC for mid-range smartphones and is said to have a “boosted performance from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1”.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Launch
The Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is built on a 4nm process. It also comes with an octa-core configuration which is as follows:
- 4 x Cortex-A78 at up to 2.4GHz
- 4 x Cortex-A55 at up to 1.8GHz
The new chipset features an Adreno 710 GPU which supports up to FHD+ panels at 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, it has a Qualcomm Spectra ISP and supports up to a 200MP primary rear camera.
It supports up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM running at 3.2GHz and UFS 3.1 storage. On the connectivity front, it has a Snapdragon 5G Modem-RF with up to 2.9Gbps as well as Bluetooth 5.2, Bluetooth LE, and 6GHz Wi-Fi 6E.
As of writing this, it is uncertain when we can expect a device powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3.
