During the It’s Glowtime Event, Apple introduced its latest devices like the iPhone 16 series including the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, the AirPods 4, and the Apple Watch Series 10.
The Apple Watch Series 10 offers a larger display, thinner bezels, and a slimmer design.
Apple Watch Series 10
The Apple Watch Series 10 is the largest Apple Watch to date with the option of 42mm or 46mm cases. They feature more rounded corners and a wider aspect ratio. Moreover, they come with a wide-angle OLED display that is up to 40% brighter than the Series 9 when viewed from an angle.
The display is also more power efficient and has a faster refresh rate. A new Flux watch face also debuts with the Series 10 which has a bold graphic design that fills the screen with color second by second. Additionally, there’s a Reflections watch face that has a distinctive shimmering dial that reacts subtly to your movements.
The case comes in either Aluminum or a polished Titanium finish and has the thinnest design through a redesigned speaker and integrating the antenna into the metal back. The redesigned speaker now also allows you to play media on your watch.
Under the hood, the Series 10 features an S10 chip with a 4-core Neural Engine that aids in features like crash detection and the Translate app.
The Series 10 boasts faster charging that is said to offer 80% battery life in around a 30-minute charging session.
Apple also introduces new insightful Sleep Apnea notifications in addition to the tracking of heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep, and wrist temperature. The new feature is expected to be introduced in more than 150 countries like the US and Japan soon.
The Apple Watch Series 10 also has a built-in Depth Gauge down to 6 meters and a 50-meter water resistance rating. For those of you who enjoy water activities, the company introduced a new Tides app that can access seven rolling days of forecasted information on high and low tides, tide height and direction, and sunrise and sunset.
There are also the new Milanese Loop bands to match the three new Titanium cases.
