Leakster Digital Chat Station has just shared the performance of the GPU of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, the company’s upcoming flagship chipset, which is expected to debut in October.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400 GPU Performance
The performance is based on the GFX Aztec 1440 off-screen Vulkan test for mobile GPUs. The leakster shared a screenshot with the chipset’s GPU scoring 134 fps in the benchmark. This is drastically higher than the A18 Pro and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 which scores at 72fps and 95fps, respectively.
The upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400 is expected to be equipped with the Arm Mali G925-Immortalis MC12 GPU coupled with a 3.63 Arm Cortex-X925 CPU.
Compared to the Immortalis G720, Arm claims that its latest GPU is said to have:
- 37% better graphics application performance
- 52% increase in ray tracing for complex objects
- 34% improved AI and machine learning workload performance
- 30% more power efficient
This sounds like a good all-around upgrade in graphics for the Dimensity 9400 but it is good to note that the comparison is specifically for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and not the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
The next-generation battle for flagship mobile chipsets is getting exciting, especially with this news. With about a month to go, we can’t wait to see how these SoCs perform in the real world.

That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
