The UP (University of the Philippines) is set to host the inaugural two-day conference, “AI Horizons PH ’24: Conference on AI-Powered Research and Innovation,” on October 24 and 25, 2024. The event will feature leading experts, policymakers, and innovators discussing AI applications in four key areas: food security, education and governance, materials and energy, and health and wellness.

More than 200 participants are expected to attend from various sectors, including the UP System and its constituent universities, other higher education institutions, government agencies, private sector entities, and media.

Key features of the conference include:

    1. High-profile keynote speakers from government and industry, including Cabinet Secretaries and leading figures in AI innovation.

    2. Case studies showcasing real-world AI applications in critical sectors.

    3. Panel discussions featuring experts from academia, government, and private sector.

    4. Networking for collaboration among different stakeholders.
